With their unparalleled honesty and consistency, these are the artists I can always relate to, and they prove the “quality over quantity” theory time and time again. It’s nearing the end of the year, and I can say that 2016 has definitely been the most eventful (from a live music standpoint). I’ve discovered so many new artists and venues, and I’m so lucky to still have more to look forward to this fall!

Roughly a month ahead of their third full-length album Jessica Rabbit, Sleigh Bells continue to share some pretty good videos and tracks for us to jam to in the meantime. At the DJ set here, I swear I heard them teasing some new instrumentals – and I liked what I heard a lot.

Over a span of just a few days, The Weeknd chopped his ‘locs while Tinashe dropped new tracks, Solange has a new album out this weekend, and the Kaytranada train JUST WONT STOP. A lot is going on right now so let’s get right to it.

If you haven’t already heard: Kaytranada is the the Haitian-born, electronic DJ and producer – yet another young Canadian act blowing up the music scene. After receiving tons of positive response from his Soundcloud following, Kay released his debut 99.9% this year – and then just dropped the most creatively-titled accompanying mixtape earlier this week: 0.001%.
